SGF Diversity & Inclusion Conference and Scottish Parliament Hustings Draw Engaged Audience for a Powerful Day of Debate and Insight

On Tuesday 23rd April 2026, the SGF Diversity & Inclusion Conference and the Scottish Parliament Hustings took place — Thanks to those that joined us!

Held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport, the second Diversity & Inclusion Conference was brought to you by our Headline Sponsor Booker and brought together colleagues and partners from across the industry to focus on driving real progress in diversity, inclusion, and opportunity.

The programme featured a dynamic line-up of guest speakers, thought-provoking discussions on the issues shaping our sector, and an exhibition space packed with organisations showcasing practical tools, resources, and initiatives to support more inclusive workplaces and communities.

The conversation then continued into the SGF Scottish Parliament Hustings. With one of the top authorities on Scottish politics, Andy Maciver, in the chair, the event delivered a lively and robust debate. The panellists included:

  • Jamie Greene – Scottish Liberal Democrats

  • Paul McLennan – Scottish National Party

  • Iain Whyte – Scottish Conservatives

  • Angela Ross – Reform UK Scotland

  • Katherine Sangster – Scottish Labour

With the election on 7th May fast approaching, the hustings provided an opportunity for attendees to stay informed, ask questions, and hear directly from representatives on important issues including Retail Crime, cost of doing business and Illicit Trade.

Thanks to everyone who joined us, including the brilliant speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors.
