Lobbying & research

Communications and Press Releases are produced by our Policy & Public Affairs Department, but this is not their only remit.  The Policy & Public Affairs Department is at the heart of dealing with all legislative matters which come to our attention; this could be anything from the National Living Wage to the Deposit Return Scheme, from Planning matters to the many different issues surrounding the recent consultations on Alcohol Advertising and foods High in Fat, Sugar & Salt. 

This can be a never-ending task given the workload that hits their desks from the key policy makers throughout the country; normally from the Scottish Government and Parliament, but this can also be from Westminster and other agencies.

They are responsible for the fortnightly updates which are issued to all within our membership, all press releases and help produce all publications which are issued by SGF.
