It was a pleasure to host the SGF annual conference. A well organised, dynamic day, it had some really interesting speakers, and it was a great opportunity for delegates to hear from inspiring figures in the sector. Everyone was so passionate about their industry and incredibly engaged. Also, a brilliant chance to network.

The theme for the SGF Annual Conference 2025 was ‘Retail Matters – Valuing our Sector, Confronting the Challenges’
The SGF Conference 2025 brought together key voices from across the convenience and retail sector for a vital discussion on the future of our industry. Under the theme "Retail Matters – Valuing our Sector, Confronting the Challenges," this year’s event shone a spotlight on the essential role retail plays in our communities and economy.
Through keynote speeches, Interactive Sessions, and networking opportunities, we explored the real value of our sector, tackle the pressing challenges we face – from rising costs to regulatory pressures – and highlight the innovation and resilience that continue to drive us forward.
The conference benefited from our largest trade exhibition of the year, excellent breakout sessions hosted by various companies and business sessions featuring knowledgeable and informative speakers.
Wednesday evening gave our attendees the opportunity to let their hair down and enjoy the gala dinner.
