Rupert Lewis, Director, Tobacco Manufacturers’ Association

Rupert Lewis is Director of the Tobacco Manufacturers’ Association (TMA), the trade association for the tobacco companies that operate in the UK.

Its three member companies are British American Tobacco UK Ltd, Gallaher Ltd (a member of the Japan Tobacco International group) and Imperial Tobacco Ltd.

Rupert took over the leadership of the TMA in 2019, having previously spent almost two decades in politics and strategic communications where he specialised advising companies and organisations operating in heavily regulated environments including infrastructure, manufacturing, telecoms, FMCG and financial services.
