URGENT UPDATE: The National Lottery Technical Switchover – Date Announced

Our members Allwyn have asked us to update retailers on their upcoming National Lottery technical switchover.

From 11pm on Saturday 2nd August, the next part of The National Lottery transformation will take place. Over Technical Switchover weekend, new terminal software will go live to support National Lottery core gaming and retail technology systems moving to new platforms.

What you need to know:

Technical Switchover will start at 11pm on Saturday 2nd August, and National Lottery terminals will be down for approximately 36 hours to enable the new systems to go live. Stores will still be able to sell activated Scratchcards during this time.

Over the next 10 days, there are several activities to deliver before gaining final approval for this date, including final testing. You will be informed of any critical updates that may impact the date.

What you need to do to prepare:

  • Jackpot Lite magazine has all the information you need and will land in store later this week.  Please read it as soon as possible to get ready.

  • Complete your essential terminal software training. Visit www.TNLPartnersTraining.co.uk today.

There are three important things stores need to do to get up and running as soon as possible after Technical Switchover:

  • Terminals must be kept powered on over Technical Switchover weekend

  • Every store will need to use new terminal sign-on details from Monday 4th August; these details can be found in the special edition Jackpot Lite magazine

  • Activate sufficient Scratchcard stock to keep dispensers full until Monday
