Important compliance update: Register on the new ScotGov Tobacco & Vape Products platform

Important compliance update (you must do this as soon as possible):

Register your details on the new Tobacco & Nicotine Vapour Products platform

Please see the following message from the Scottish Government:

We’re pleased to let you know that changes made to the online Tobacco and Nicotine Vapour Products Register have now been implemented. These updates are designed to make it easier for businesses like yours to manage premises registrations and work more effectively with Trading Standards.

As part of these improvements, validation of business owners is now securely handled through ScotAccount, adding an extra layer of security and reassurance.

Keep Your Information Up to Date

As part of the migration process it is vital that all retailers, log-in and check that the information that we currently hold within your registration is correct and up-to-date.

Information from the old register platform has been migrated over to the new platform, which is hosted by ePass (Register of Tobacco and Nicotine Vapour Product Retailers Scotland) and the old platform has been decommissioned. Please click here for more information on the Register Migration and the New Register.

If you have not registered with ScotAccount before you will be able to set up an account by accessing the register through the link above or directly via ePass (https://my.epass.service.gov.scot/login).

Under the new platform an ‘Updates Required’ tag indicates that further action is required by you in regards to your premises registration. Once updated this tag will disappear.

Keeping your information current is an important part of maintaining your registration and ensuring your compliance with regulations. It also ensures that any vital updates on changes to the register or legislation can be quickly communicated to you.

Feedback, Help and Support

We value your feedback on these changes and would love to hear your thoughts. If you have any questions, need assistance, or want to share your experience, please don’t hesitate to reach out to tobaccocontrolteam@gov.scot

We appreciate your on-going support to maintain the accuracy of the register on behalf of Scottish Ministers.
