Disposable BBQ Sales – Extension of NFSS Proposal to 5th August

Following information SGF sent out on 23rd July, the NFCC has asked that retailers consider not selling disposable barbecues for another 7 days. It builds on the original request from the 15th July and will now last until the 5th August.

Further to a letter from the National Fire Chiefs Council's letter to the British Retail Consortium retailers should consider withdrawing disposable barbecues from sale until the risk of fire has eased. They would be grateful if retailers would continue supporting this request from 29 July for a further 7 days. This is due to continued wildfire activity.
